Overview
Shaffer's High Sierra Summer Camp offers children 8 to 17 a traditional
summer camp experience but with a focus on noncompetitive wilderness adventure
activities in California's splendid Tahoe National Forest. (Go to our Home

As of April 14, 2010, the Camp has filled its videographer and photographer positions.
The Camp employs a person to take still photographs and another to do video.
The photographer is responsible for taking digital photos, selecting, touching-up, and uploading the photos to an online gallery, packaging them into CDs, producing an annual calendar.
This videographer is responsible for taping various activities at camp, uploading nightly to a YouTube channel with some minimum editing first, producing a video production at the end of each session, and packaging it into a memory DVD. The videographer will spent 40% to 50% of his or her time doing adminsitrative/office work in addition.
Both the Photographer and Videographer will also assist in driving, as needed.
Dates
You will start at Camp on approximately June 16, 2010, and will go through 3 days of training, with a day off before campers arrive. We will operate 8 weeks of children's camp, from June 20 through August 14, 2010. You will likely need a couple days after the children leave to complete your projects.
Pay
The salary for the videographer is $300 per week.
Requirements
You should have experience with portraits, landscapes, and sports photography and photo editing programs such as Photo Shop. In addition, you must have experience with prosumer grade camcorders, sound and lighting, and video editing on NLE programs such as Vegas or Adobe Premier. You must also be at least 21.
